Cromer Academy supports local charity event

stodyeventCromer Academy students and staff ventured to the Stody Estate on Sunday 26th February to take part in the Break Charity Cross-country run to raise funds for the local organisation. Cromer Academy runners managed to collect over £300 in sponsorship for their efforts. Thanks to all those who took part or sponsored athletes on the day. Once again it was great to see so many Academy members getting involved in community events and showing themselves, and the academy, in such a positive light. A full report will be available in the Sports Cluster newsletter available at the end of term.

'Billy' Goat for Zimbabwe

After learning about self help schemes in Africa, Miss Burrows Year 10 Geography students were keen to make a difference to the lives of those in Africa. 15 students donated money towards buying and sending a goat to families in Zimbabwe: something that will help them towards working their way out of poverty. The goat will primarily be used for milking and breeding; the family can then sell the kids and the money can be used for vital education and healthcare.
