'Billy' Goat for Zimbabwe

After learning about self help schemes in Africa, Miss Burrows Year 10 Geography students were keen to make a difference to the lives of those in Africa. 15 students donated money towards buying and sending a goat to families in Zimbabwe: something that will help them towards working their way out of poverty. The goat will primarily be used for milking and breeding; the family can then sell the kids and the money can be used for vital education and healthcare.
The students that kindly donated were: Megan Hewitt, Alex Jones, Creed Finnegan, James Cole, Yasmin Mantell, Jordan Coleman, Kelsy Gudgeon, Georgina Burrows, Tom Brodie, James Butcher, Alice Dawson, Marie Andrews, Robert Cox, Josh Copeman and Rebecca Bunting. An extra thank you to Mrs Fippard, who also added a donation.
Those who donated also nominated a name for the goat. Mrs Bignell kindly picked the name from a hat and Billy was the winner, chosen by Mrs Fippard.
